MY WORK IS ABOUT MORE THAN SPIRITUAL GIFTS.

Spiritual gifts are important—but they’re part of a much bigger picture. I help pastors and ministry leaders understand how the people around their leadership table are wired, what each person brings to the team, where they may struggle, and how they can work together more effectively. Through leadership coaching, team development, spiritual-gifts seminars, and practical leadership tools, I help pastors:

  • Build healthier ministry teams

  • Better understand the people they’re leading

  • Recognize strengths and differences within their teams

  • Put people in roles that fit how God has wired them

  • Improve communication and team relationships

  • Navigate leadership challenges with greater clarity

  • Develop a culture where people can serve from their strengths

  • Align their teams around the mission of the church

Because effective team building doesn’t just happen. It takes understanding. It takes intentionality. And it takes leadership.

WHY I DO THIS

I’ve spent much of my life in ministry. I’ve served as a pastor. I’ve worked with church leaders. I’ve sat across the table from ministry teams trying to figure out why something isn’t working—and I’ve watched what happens when leaders finally begin to understand the people God has placed around them.

Today, I serve as a Ministry Leadership Coach, working with pastors across multiple states and evangelical denominations. That experience has reinforced something I believe strongly:  A pastor shouldn’t have to figure out leadership and team development alone. Sometimes what a pastor needs isn’t another book, another conference, or another leadership theory. Sometimes he needs someone who understands ministry, can ask the right questions, and can help him see what he’s already looking at from a different perspective.

That’s the role I try to fill.

THE WHW APPROACH

  • Understand the people.

  • Build the team.

  • Strengthen the ministry.

My approach brings together three important pieces:

LEADERSHIP

Helping pastors think strategically about the people, challenges, and opportunities in front of them.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT

Helping leaders understand how their teams function—and how differences in personality, strengths, communication, and leadership style affect the team.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Helping people discover how God has gifted them and helping churches intentionally connect those gifts to ministry.

When those three pieces begin working together, something powerful happens.

  • People understand themselves better.

  • Teams understand one another better.

  • Pastors lead with greater clarity.

And the church becomes better equipped to accomplish its mission.

MY INVITATION TO YOU

If you’re a pastor who wants to build a healthier team, develop the people around you, or simply have someone to talk with about the leadership challenges you’re facing, I’d be glad to come alongside you.

  • You don’t have to have a crisis.

  • You don’t have to have all the answers.

  • And your team doesn’t have to be falling apart.

Sometimes the best time to work on a team is before there’s a problem.

Let’s build better teams.

Let’s strengthen churches.

Let’s help people serve the way God has wired them.
